If a picture's worth a thousand words, I've already seid too much.. even though, I decided to take some kinda mini-holiday today, and go to the capital of this tiny country.
No, I did not go because Jenna Jameson's wax-statue is on display till the end of the month.. but it did help :P
Something I did take the time for to watch was the exposition Spirit of the Wild by the South African photographer Steve Bloom.. (FYI; a search for 'Spirit of the Wild' in Google will lead you to Ted 'Kill it and Grill it' Nugent)
Amazing pictures of wildlife, combined with information on how our lifestyles interfere with all that. Certain images brought me back, in spirit, to some of the best nights I had.. the ones I spent sleeping under the stars in Southern Africa, listening to the roar of bullfrogs, the sound of hippo's breathing or an incidental hyena.
I would never be able to survive in the wild, but there are moments I would like to be as far away from civilization as possible.
Other things I saw include the monuments erected (no pun intended) for the prostitutes and homosexuals of this world, lots of old buildings and canals, and I visited the HRC to drink a Corona and a Hurricane... which did have hurricane-like effects... I was unaware of the fact I was supposed to take the glass home with me. So, yeah, I left it on the counter. Something I will regret for a long time to come...
